How do I track my flight?
Send the flight number to +44 117 471 7170 on WhatsApp and we do the rest. You start the conversation, always. We never message a number that has not messaged us first, and there is nothing to sign up for.
Send your flight number
Just the flight number, like BA2490. Add a day if it is not today: “EZY218 tomorrow”, or “TOM257 24/12”. You get the airline, route, terminal, gate, scheduled and revised departure time and the current status straight back.
We watch it from there
The flight goes on our watch list and is re-checked every 15 minutes. When the gate is published, the time moves, or the status changes to delayed, boarding or cancelled, you get a message. Reply STOP TRACKING to end it.
Delays and cancellations
Is my flight delayed?
Text the flight number and you will know in seconds. If the airline has moved the departure, the reply shows the scheduled time with the revised time next to it, so you can see exactly how far the day has slipped. After that you can stop refreshing. We re-check the flight every 15 minutes and message you if it moves again, or when the gate finally goes up.
And if it is cancelled?
The status change reaches you as a message the same way. Check with your airline as well, because they own your booking and we do not. If you have a taxi booked with us for a flight that has been cancelled, call 0117 966 6666 and we will cancel it. We are not in the business of charging you for an airline's bad night.

The 24-hour rule, plainly
WhatsApp only lets a business send a free-form message within 24 hours of your last message to it. We use no paid message templates, which is what keeps this service free, and it means the live alerts run inside that 24-hour window.
In practice: track your flight whenever you like, then send the flight number again on travel day. That reopens the window and we push every gate, delay and cancellation change straight to you.
What we keep, and how to stop
We store your WhatsApp number, the display name WhatsApp gives us, the flights you asked us to watch and their last known gate, time and status. Watched flights are dropped automatically a few hours after departure.
We use it to reply to you and to help with your trip. Reply STOP TRACKING to end flight alerts, or STOP to leave the travel-alerts list. To have your details deleted altogether, email info@ticktaxi.co.uk.

How can I track a flight for free?
Message the flight number to +44 117 471 7170 on WhatsApp. You get the live status back and then an alert whenever the gate, time or status changes. Tick Taxi does not charge for it, there is no app, and you do not have to book a taxi to use it. Your mobile network’s standard data charges for WhatsApp apply as normal.
Can I get flight alerts on WhatsApp?
Yes, that is exactly what Flight Watcher is. Alerts arrive as ordinary WhatsApp messages, so there is nothing to install and no account to make, and they reach you in the app you already have open.
Which flights can it track?
Any scheduled commercial flight, identified by its flight number, not only Bristol Airport departures. It is built for Bristol Airport travellers, so a Bristol flight also gets you the option of a fixed-price transfer, but tracking works either way.
How do I stop the messages?
Reply STOP TRACKING and we stop watching your flights immediately. Reply STOP to leave the travel-alerts list. You can also block the number in WhatsApp, or email info@ticktaxi.co.uk and we will delete your details.
Why do the alerts sometimes stop before my flight?
WhatsApp only allows a business to send a free-form message within 24 hours of your last message to it, and we deliberately use no paid message templates. So if you track a flight days ahead and then go quiet, message us again within 24 hours of departure. Send the flight number a second time and the live alerts resume.
Is it a substitute for the airline?
No. Flight data comes from AeroDataBox and is usually seconds to a couple of minutes behind the airport. Always confirm gates and times with your airline and the airport’s own boards before you travel.
Who operates it?
